Hey all, it's about time for my next adventure to start for this summer. In just over an hour, I will be loaded up on a bus with 37 other tired/wired people on our way to the Chicago airport. This will officially begin our trip to the great wilderness we all know as Alaska. I have been given the opportunity to serve this team as a member of the 'support staff' team. Our role is just that... to serve the team. Us support staffers are on this trip to provide as many opportunities as possible for the high school students to have the experience of a life time. I absolutely love this role. My first trip to Alaska back in 2008 was my first experience of a true relationship with Christ, so this trip holds a special place in my heart. I really don't think that same experience would have happened for me without all of our amazing leaders taking care of all the behind the scene work to allow me and the rest of the students to simply focus on the glory of God moving in that place. I really hope I can play a part in an experience like that for somebody else.
As the trip hasn't started, I don't have a lot to post on right now. I know God will be working in some amazing ways on this trip, so I am excited to keep you all posted as our 10 days pass by. Hopefully we have some sort of internet connection at camp so that I can post updates throughout the week. Be sure to check back; I can't wait to share the amazing stories God works out in this group!
peace and love,
